John Franklin Sullivan, age 89, of Medford, OR. passed Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. He was born May 5, 1922 in Highfill, Ark., to John E. & Fanny (Ennis) Sullivan. John and his family came to Oregon from Ark. while he was still a young man. John married Ruth Bridgeman in 1942 in Medford. She preceded him in death in 2007. He served honorably with the US Army. John had worked locally in agriculture and as a logger, and then for over 30 years as a bus driver for Trailways, where he logged over 2 million accident free miles. He and Ruth were members of the 1st Church of the Nazarene. John is survived by three children; daughter Louisa Pasquesi of Beaverton, OR., sons John (Kelli)Sullivan of Boise, ID and Chuck Sullivan of Salem, OR., a sister Shirley (Fred) Rapp of Elma, WA., two grandchildren; Ezra Butera and Cary Sullivan, three great grandchildren; Kylie Sullivan, Connor Sullivan and Emma Butera. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the 1st Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kevin Gowland officiating. John will be laid to rest with Ruth in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary in care of arrangements.
