Obituary for Marion Hull

Marion Ray Hull, age 91 years, passed away February 28, 2017. He was born
in Woodlake, Nebraska on September 10, 1925. Marion served in the US Navy during
WWII aboard the USS Trathen as a Shipfitter Third Class for two
and a half years. He married Eilene Bussinger on June 1, 1947, in
Bassett, Nebraska. Together they moved to Southern Oregon in
1951, settling in Central Point, Oregon, where they lived for over
sixty years.
Marion loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were his favorite
activities when he wasn’t hard at work. Marion was employed
with Moore/Far West Steel for 15 years prior to starting his own
custom farming and welding business. He felt most comfortable
on his tractor or with a welding rod in his hand.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eilene Hull, his five children
Vicki Snodgrass (Larry), Connie Williams (Chuck), Julie Richmond
(Gary), Janis Hull and Scot Hull (Judy), 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren,
brother Harry Hull (Fran), sister Bernice Covic and a
host of nephews and nieces.
Marion and Eilene taught their children the value of hard work
and the importance of honesty, integrity, character and family.
Marion and Eilene were members of Community Bible Church
where they faithfully served and worshiped for over 50 years.
A private family graveside service was held Monday, March 6, 2017 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held at the Central Point Community Bible Church Monday, March 6, 2017.
